If you are looking for the full brunch experience on a Sunday morning in paradise, look no further than Hot Tin Roof, located at the Ocean Key Resort. Not only will the food and service blow your socks off, the second floor setting offers one of the most beautiful views of Key West Harbor.
My most recent brunch at Hot Tin Roof was for the Key West Food and Wine Festival. As if their brunch could even get any better, it did. Island Genn and a few of us girls arrived with high expectations, and we were not disappointed. The Bloody Mary’s were delicious, and they had a Peach Mimosas (aka Bellinis) that I couldn’t pass up.
While we were a little thrown off by it being served family style for the festival, there were plenty of eats for everyone to get a taste of every course. From the cheese board to the guava pastry everything was prepared beautifully. My favorite part was the iceberg wedge salad topped with the best bacon I have had in my short 21 years of life. In the group we had a celiac and a vegetarian and they were impressed by how easy it was to stay within their dietary restrictions.
Overall it was an awesome experience with great service and as always a beautiful view. I highly recommend keeping an eye out for next years event and be sure to get a ticket before they sell out!
