Albury Court is a boutique hotel in the Historic Seaport District of Key West. The property has 38 totally renovated guest rooms. I love the property location, just a few blocks away from Duval Street and within easy walking distance to the harbor, restaurants, shopping, nightlife, and popular attractions such as the Yankee Freedom Ferry to the Dry Tortugas and the Flagler Overseas Railway Museum. And if you are traveling with a car, there is no parking lot on property, but literally steps away is a parking lot and a parking garage with rates of about $15 a day; you cannot beat that! Plus, the conch-style architecture of the five buildings making up the hotel along with the tropical landscaping make this property feel like you really are in the islands. There is a common courtyard, pool and lobby that all of the buildings share. Wireless internet is available to you for free throughout the property. Lets not forget that the staff also serves a complimentary continental breakfast in the courtyard every morning from 8:30 to 10:30 am.
Located on Eaton Street, one might wonder why it is then called Albury Court. Well, in the 1800s, many people came over to Key West from the Bahamas to live. And a very common surname for these folks was Albury. Today, many Key West residents are descendants of these immigrants, and at one time, a family of Alburys lived in a house located where the hotel sits today.
The comfortable guest accommodations at Albury Court are all varied from each other, yet they all have the same basic amenities and a tropical decor. And each room features amenities to make you feel at home such as private bathrooms, air conditioning, flat screen televisions, telephone, hairdryer, and alarm clock. Some rooms also have a mini-fridge.
The QUEEN guest room includes a queen sized bed, private bathroom with shower, flat screen television, mini-fridge, telephone, hairdryer, air conditioning, alarm clock, and safe. All of these rooms are non-smoking and can accommodate up to 2 people.
The TWO QUEEN guest room includes two queen size beds, private bathroom with shower, flat screen television, mini-fridge, telephone, hairdryer, air conditioning, alarm clock, and safe. All of these rooms are non-smoking and can accommodate up to 4 people.
