Five Guys Burger and Fries
Five Guys Burger and Fries

So I love a burger on occasion, and I find it increasingly harder to find a good one. The crew loves going to Five Guys, and until recently I did not get all the hype as it just looked like another fast food place to me. So we all went to Five Guys for lunch recently so that they could turn me from foe to fan.

Walking in, I loved the clean atmosphere. And the peanuts that they have in order to keep you satiated while waiting is a neat idea. The menu is not extensive my any means, serving only hamburgers, hotdogs, and fries but they have a ton of condiments to choose from.

I ordered the little bacon cheeseburger with fries, a soda, and a side of hot sauce. Then the crew ordered behind me. When our food was ready and our number was called, the entire order was in a big brown bag and the burgers were numbered in the order of which they were ordered which was super convenient.

I have to say that the burger was really surprisingly tasty. It is not what I would call gourmet, but if I wanted that I would go to some upscale restaurant. And the fries were fresh and delicious.

In addition to the food tasting great, the staff there was super friendly. That in itself was a nice change of pace from what one usually experiences at burger joints. I mean, have you ever gotten a smile out of a Mickey D’s employee? I sure never did.

Oh, I almost forgot! Indiana Bones is welcome at Five Guys too! He enjoyed sharing my burger with me as we sat at one of the outside tables with the Key West chickens. You have not seen the real Key West until you have eaten with the chickens, lol.

So, if you are looking for the comfort of a tasty burger and fries and in somewhat of a hurry, try Five Guys on Roosevelt Blvd. (I have not tried the one downtown, but I assume it would be similar service).
