The Hogfish Bar and Grill is hidden away in Safe Harbor on the Stock Island section of Key West. This is Key West old style! It is a locals hangout, but many a lucky tourist hear about this gem and make their way over to experience Key West the way it used to be. You can hang out at the bar, play some pool, listen to live entertainment in the evenings, or relax with a drink and some grub at a table overlooking the water.
The Hogfish serves strong drinks and fresh seafood dishes. Their signature dish is their World Famous Killer Hogfish Sandwich which is amazing. If you have not tried Hogfish, also known as Hog Snapper, you have no idea what you are missing; it is the flakiest, whitest fish ever. My personal favorite dish at Hogfish is their Stuffed Hogfish. OMG! The restaurant also serves great salads, like their Cobb topped with grilled shrimp, delicious onion rings, big burgers, fish tacos, fried shrimp, soups, roast pork, and many more yummy items. You can have traditional bar fare or glam it up with a fabulous seafood dinner.
Before you leave Hogfish make sure that you pick up a t-shirt to help you remember your “real Keys” experience.
