D.J’s Clam Shack – Review
When one thinks of Key West dining, inevitably, fresh seafood comes to mind. D.J.’s Clam Shack, a little hole in the wall location on Key
These are my Key West restaurant reviews. As a Key West local and a foodie I visit these establishments new and old to inform my readers of my experiences for breakfast, lunch, deserts and dinner. Often I revisit the places that come under new management or I hear of some changes. I often re-visit my favorites just because I like them.
My restaurant reviews are purely my opinion about the service, value and atmosphere of the restaurant, food truck or Key West bistro. I have been writing these reviews for over 20 years here in Key West. My visits are not pre-informed nor reserved by name, so the effect is that of any patron walking in to a particular restaurant and receiving services and food. The way a Key West restaurant review should be. – Island Genn

Fun Key West Activity – Key West Sandbar Trips
Key West is a tourist destination. Tourists come here to experience what we as locals live everyday and they make up a large majority of Key West restaurant patronage. Often, the restaurant is the only taste a tourist takes home with them. I try to help them by sharing my personal dining experiences.
For those owners that do not like my honest assessment of your establishment, may I suggest that you have a chat with your staff and see what you can do to obtain a more consistent service which will benefit our guests and you as well in the long run. When those changes are made I am happy to come back and update my findings. I do not come to nit-pick and I do get it when things just go wrong. But, there are no excuses for bad service, improperly cooked meals or sloppy atmosphere unless that is what your marketing suggests.
