There are so many restaurants in Key West to choose from. So below, listed in no particular order, and some of our favorites. You will find everything from high end fine dining options to our favorite casual options, all right here in this list!
Louie’s Backyard is a foodie’s dream location. The food is sourced locally when at all possible and the views of the Atlantic are amazing!
Chico’s Cantina is our go to lunch spot and our favorite Mexican restaurant on the island, well Stock Island technically. Food is reasonably priced, the staff is awesome, and the food is delicious. Very casual lunch or dinner spot. Some of our favorites hare are the tacos, the fajitas, and the burritos.
Roostica is our choice for pizza and other Italian dishes. This is a casual spot with indoor and outdoor seating on the Stock Island. Pizzas as wood fired, and they even have gluten free options here!
Banana Cafe is a favorite for breakfast, lunch or dinner located right on Duval Street in Key West. This little French cafe does it all very well.
Origami is our choice for sushi in Key West. Located in Duval Square with ample parking, this little spot has indoor and outdoor seating. And if sushi isn’t your thing, they also have tempura and salads that will satisfy.
Seven Fish has been around for years, although their new location on Truman Avenue is much larger than the original spot to cater to the number of people wanting to eat here. Some of the best seafood dishes on the island.
Salute is a fun place to eat overlooking Higgs Beach. Fare is best described as Caribbean influenced Italian.
El Meson de Pepe’s makes the list for a multitude of reasons. Not only is the Cuban food here delicious, but the location on Mallory Square is perfect and the building the houses the restaurant is not only historic but a museum for Cuban Conch (Key West) heritage. Plus, every evening just before sunset a live Salsa band plays and dancing takes over outside.
Bagatelle does amazing breakfast, lunch and dinner. My favorite part about eating here, besides the delicious food and drinks, is the people watching on Duval Street.
Garbo’s Grill is our food truck of choice, or if you are from Jersey like me, a grease truck. This little airstream is Key West’s most well known and popular food truck, having been featured on Guy Fieri’s show ‘Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives’ as well as Lucy Burdette’s Key West Food Critic Mystery Series book, Killer Takeout.
It would be impossible to list all of the great restaurants Key West has to offer here on this page, but all of the listed restaurants are places that I eat at myself regularly because they are my favorites. The list may change from time to time for different reasons, so check back before each trip to Key West.
If there was another Key West restaurant that you have heard of that didn’t make the list but you are curious about, be sure to read my Key West restaurant reviews; you will likely find it mentioned there!
