El Siboney Restaurant Stock Island – Review

I have been a fan of the El Siboney in downtown Key West for ages. But we seldom went because it was downtown, parking was tough, and the space is very cramped. So when the owners opened a second location on Stock Island at the old Rusty Anchor I was ecstatic. Finally, I would be able to get great Cuban food at a great price in a nice atmosphere close to home!

We have now been to the new location so many times for lunch or dinner I have lost count. The food is served in generous portions and at an extremely affordable rate. Some of my favorite meals are the Roast Pork (Puerto Asado), Shredded Beef (Ropa Vieja), or the Half Chicken done up either grilled, roasted, fried, or barbecued. My husband’s favorite thing to get there is the Cuban Mix Sandwich. We also really enjoy the cafe con leches and the sangria here.

So, if you are staying in Key West, or even better at one of the new hotels on Stock Island such as the Perry Hotel or Ocean’s Edge, you should really try some authentic Cuban cooking and visit El Siboney. It is located at 5501 5th Avenue on Stock Island. It is just about a 15 minute drive from downtown Key West.
