Key West Restaurant Review: China Garden

Last night my husband and I went to Old Town Key West on a photo mission. We were planning on eating dinner while we were there, but most places are open air and it was hot, hot, hot. And the places that were indoor were packed. That’s what happens during a special event at 6 pm without reservation! Anyway, we decided to grab a bite in New Town instead, an. I suggested China Garden in the Searstown Plaza on Roosevelt Blvd. There is typically no wait here and last night was no different. (And if you are looking for delivery they are super fast and have never messed up an order for us!)

We were seated immediately and instantly we had water and hot tea in front of us as well as those yummy crunchy noodles and duck sauce. While we perused the menu, our cups were never empty. Those folks are on top of it in here.

I ordered Mongolian Beef and my hubby got shrimp fried rice. It was served shortly afterwards. The shrimp were as always amazingly fresh (I can’t believe we get better shrimp at a Chinese Restaurant than we did at another place this week which also happens to be a fish house; stay tuned for that review). The Mongolian beef was tender and delicious.

We left satisfied with both the meal and the service. And for only $24! You can’t beat that! Especially in Key West.

China Garden West is open seven days a week. Monday through Thursday and Sunday hours: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM. Friday and Saturday hours are 11:00 AM – 10:30 PM. You can dine in, take out, or they will deliver for free. Their phone number is 305-296-5618 or 305-296-5619.
