Flamingo Crossing Ice Cream

I have been to Flamingo Crossing in Key West for ice cream more times than I can count. This is our go to ice cream stop on the island. What makes Flamingo Crossing so special? For one, their gelato style ice cream is not shipped in from anywhere. It is all made in house. And, it has been since they opened in 1987.

The Ice Cream

In addition to all of the normal flavors such as vanilla, chocolate and strawberry, you will find a plethora of unique flavors such as mamey, papaya, sour sop and guava. They also have specialty items such as alcoholic ice cream like Pina colada and Irish coffee. And for those that are looking to save on calories, they have frozen yogurt and sorbets as well for those with dairy sensitivities. Some have no fat and others no sugar. Something literally for anyone!

Another fun thing about Flamingo Crossing is that the flavors are constantly changing based on the season. While the usual suspects are always available, different times of the year may see flavors like pumpkin, egg nog, or peppermint. Ice cream can come in a cup, a cone, or as a milkshake. Or, make it a sundae! There is no wrong way to go here. We love to sit outside their store and enjoy our frozen treats while people watching from one of their brightly painted picnic tables.

Where

Located at 1105 Duval Street, you will find Flamingo Crossing open from 11am until 11pm daily. There is no better way to cool off in Key West than with some delicious ice cream, frozen yogurt, or sorbet. See why this is the locals go to ice cream shop in Key West.
