Goldman's Deli Cuisine

Goldman’s serves classic New York deli fare. From bagels with cream cheese and lox if you like to egg dishes galore and other classic breakfast items to burgers and huge deli sandwiches. Plus they have a huge coffee menu to help start your day. You won’t leave here hungry!

Goldman's Deli Review

Goldman’s Deli is a locals favorite for breakfast and lunch. The food is always delicious and plentiful, so it is always packed. And they do pack diners in inside. There are also a few outside tables, and I prefer sitting out here if the weather is right. Unless timed just right, you will likely have to wait to be seated. Either way. While I love the food, service is inconsistent.

Pro tip: Goldman’s has an early bird special for around $8, and that is hard to beat in Key West. It consists of two eggs, grits or home fries, bagel or toast, and a cup of coffee. No substitutions, and it is served between 7am and 10am.

Breakfast

Smoked Nova Scotia Salmon Platter – This platter consists of your choice of bagel (I love the everything, the onion, the garlic, the salt, and the poppyseed) with cream cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion, capers, and pepperoncini. The quality of the lox is very high making this a very enjoyable breakfast or lunch option.

Rise and Shine Burger – this house made burger is juicy and full of flavor. It is topped with bacon which is always perfectly cooked here, as well as cheddar cheese and an over easy egg. Yum!

The Elmira – What is there not to like about grilled banana bread, especially when it is topped with honey and fresh bananas? This is serve with sausage and two eggs. I love the mix of savory and sweet with this option.

The Hungry One – French toast is one of my favorite breakfast items, and they make it with home made challah bread which in my humble opinion makes the best French toast. This is served with 2 sausages and 2 eggs as well.

Two Eggs – This is your run of the mill breakfast, but delicious none the less. Eggs are prepared however you like. You can add bacon or sausage for an uncharge. And it comes with a bagel or toast and home fries or grits.

Lunch

Classic Club – This one is my husband’s absolute favorite sandwich here. The triple decker sandwich is difficult to eat, but it is tasty. Sliced turkey, crispy bacon, lettuce and tomato are a winning combo.

The Rachel – This is my personal favorite sandwich at Goldman’s. Hot turkey pastrami topped with coleslaw, munster cheese and Russian dressing on grilled rye bread. The only bad thing about this sandwich is that it is too much to eat at one sitting and to delicious not to eat it in one sitting.

Tuna Melt – Goldman’s homemade tuna salad with cheese (your choice) grilled perfectly. You can even add bacon and tomato for a real treat.

Soup and Sandwich – Your choice of chicken salad, egg salad, tuna salad, ham, or turkey sandwich served with a cup of homemade soup. You can also do half a sandwich and a cup of soup. I love the tuna salad here and the matzoh ball soup is so tasty. This is my go to when I am feeling a little under the weather. Jewish penicillin!

Harley Burger – Goldmans smash burger with crispy bacon, grilled onions, pepper jack cheese and dijon mayo is juicy and delicious. One of the better burgers on the island in my opinion.

Baked Goods

Goldman’s also sells a delectable selection of baked goods. Of course they have bagels. But they also have cookies, muffins, danish, and cinnamon rolls.

Blueberry muffins and lemon poppy muffins are my favorites. They are oversized and could be a complete breakfast with a latte or cup of coffee from here as well.

Rugulah cookies are my favorites to get here. I can get a chocolate chip cookie anywhere, but where else but a Jewish deli can I get rugulah? They usually have a few different flavors like chocolate and rasberry. I prefer the fruit filled ones and always get a couple for dessert when I come here.
