Bad Boy Taqueria & Tequila at the Perry Resort and Marina on Stock Island is fast becoming a locals favorite. And a favorite of the resort guests too. You can grab a delicious alcoholic concoction along with fresh and tasty Mexican fare at this casual outdoor eatery.
My husband and I like to come here for lunch on occasion. And, we can bring our puppy, Indiana Bones, as the resort is dog friendly. We have tried different tacos and burritos. One of my favorites is the breakfast burrito. But, I am a sucker for all day breakfast! And, the guacamole is excellent, so we always get an order of chips and guacamole to start.
The Fare
On our last visit, I decided to get the Power Crunch Salad with chicken. This combination of fresh and crunchy mixed greens and veggies, avocado, and pico de Gallo with the tender and deliciously seasoned chicken was so tasty. I actually did not like the house vinaigrette that it came with at all, but the salad did not need any dressing with the pico. I do think that they need to have another salad dressing option on hand though, like an ancho chili ranch for instance.
Bad Boy actually has a Kobe beef burger that I am dying to try. Plus, there are so many interesting options to choose from that goes beyond the typical Mexican restaurant fare. For instance, they serve duck confit tacos, short rib fajitas, and smoked wahoo tostadas. So many things other try out!
Bad Boy is open daily from 11am until 9pm. And, they have a happy hour from 3pm – 5pm with drink and appetizer specials. So, head over for taco Tuesday or any other time you need a Mexican food fix while in Key West!
