There are many events, celebrations and festivals held in Key West throughout the year. And, Lobsterfest is one of the most popular of these events. This year, the festival will be celebrating its 27th year, from August 8-11, 2024. Lobsterfest is billed as the biggest party of the summer here in Key West, and it celebrates this tasty Florida crustacean. The opening of lobster season begins on August 6th each year, and this festival coincides so that revelers can enjoy fresh Florida Lobster while visiting our island.
Remember, August is very hot and humid here in Key West, so be sure to hydrate while celebrating and enjoying the party atmosphere of Lobsterfest 2024! In addition, you may want to cover up with hats, sunglasses and sunscreen to protect yourselves from becoming lobster red yourselves!

Thursday, August 8, 2024: Original Lobster Boil
Feast on a traditional Lobster Boil at an historic Key West location! Space is very limited – Tickets Required. 6pm – 9pm at the Porter Mansion courtyard at Caroline’s Cafe.
Friday, August 9, 2024: Pool Party at the Marker Resort
Party poolside at the Marker Key West Harbor Resort – Free Admission. 3pm – 6pm at the Marker Resort.
Friday, August 9, 2024: Lobsterfest Duval Pub Crawl
Includes Official T-Shirt. Only $25 in Advance, Best Deal on the Island! 8pm – 12am at select Duval Street Bars.
Saturday, August 10, 2024: Street Fair & Free Concert
Enjoy a wide variety of lobster from booths set up along Duval Street. Free Admission. 12pm – 11pm on the 100 – 500 Blocks of Duval Street.
Sunday, August 11, 2024: Lobster Brunch
Last chance of the weekend for fresh Florida Lobster. All you care to eat and drink. – Tickets Required.
Sunday, August 11, 2024: Artisan Market, Pool Party & Lobster Roll Contest
Party in the pool while enjoying delicious lobster and ice cold drinks at Southernmost on the Beach – Free Admission. 10am – 4pm at the Southernmost Beach Resort.
Want to Go Lobstering?
While the easiest way to enjoy Florida Lobster is to get it at one of the local restaurants or grocery stores, there are also charters to take you lobstering! The captain will provide all of the licenses and gear necessary to catch a lobster. But, it is up to you to actually catch it. I have to say that lobstering is by no means easy, but it is so much fun! Plus, it feels so nice to cool off in the clear waters off of Key West while snorkeling for these crustaceans.
