Walking down Duval Street this weekend, I came across a newer shop that I had not noticed before. Myself being a foodie, I had to check out Key West Olive Oil and Gourmet. The store’s owners have a passion for cooking, wine, beer and all things gourmet. And, this is apparent once you walk through the doors into this cute little shop.
About the Store
As you can probably surmise from the name, olive oil is the main feature of this store. There are over sixty varieties of extra virgin olive oils and balsamic vinegars in stock. And, you can try them out before you buy them! My friend Christine and I tried several, and they were really good and of high quality. We actually purchased a few variations of oil and vinegar.
However, the store offers a lot more than just oil and vinegar! There are several beers and wines that they sell, and tastings are available for these as well. You can also find gourmet foods and cheeses for a really nice charcuterie board. Things like olives, focaccia mix, crackers, jellies, jams, and seasonings.
But, I also loved the cute little home goods that they sell, like original candles, drink napkins, platters, and so much more. And, everything has a tropical vibe, so perfect for the Key West island life. This is a great place to shop to prepare for a get together at your home, or to purchase a hostess gift. You can even buy a card to go with your gift. Or, just keep the stuff for yourself! Oh, and if you are feeling a little peckish, you can buy some gourmet chocolates to enjoy as you shop.
Located at 714 Duval Street, this is definitely worth a stop if you are a foodie visiting Key West. You might find something to bring home with you to enjoy later. Or, you can have a little snack to bring with you on a private fishing, sandbar or snorkeling charter!
