Valentine’s Day is already just around the corner. Yes, you can do the norm if you are staying here during this holiday and send flowers and candy to your sweetheart, as the island has no shortage of wonderful florists. Or you can do something a little different with some Key West island flair!
There are private boat charters that you can reserve to take your beloved out on a nice tour, either sightseeing, snorkeling, fishing, or sunset. Or you can join one of the public sunset sails which are very romantic. Last year my husband and I went on the Sunset Culinaire for a wonderful dinner cruise and we had a really nice time not to mention great food.
There are also many, many restaurants to take your significant other out to a romantic dinner. And some restaurants such as Martin’s and Pisces are doing special Valentine’s Day menus.
And for dessert, you should totally check out Better Than Sex. This is a dessert bar that is very romantic. They serve just desserts with coffee, tea, dessert wines, beers, and cordials. YUMMY! Super great place to go on anytime, but especially on Valentine’s Day.
No matter what you decide though, make sure that you make advanced reservations! If you don’t you will be sitting alone in your hotel room wishing you had planned ahead.
