There are many people that enjoy RVing and camping in Key West. It can be very comforting to travel in an RV with all your own stuff surrounding you. And, it can be much more affordable than staying in a hotel or rental home. However, Key West is a tiny island, so RV parking and campsites are limited. And, it is not permitted to park overnight on residential streets in Key West, alongside US1 anywhere up and down the Keys, or in public parking lots or shopping centers. So, making reservations ahead of time is extremely important.
There are a few camping options on the islands of Key West and Stock Island. But, if you don’t mind staying in the Lower Keys, just a short drive from Key West, many more options will be available to you as well.
