Sarabeth’s Breakfast Restaurant Review

Nestled in the heart of Key West, Sarabeth’s is a culinary gem that offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. My friend Christine was visiting this past week, and this is one place that she had not been to yet. So, I decided to take her to breakfast at Sarabeth’s one day before she left. We waited a few minutes to be seated, and we went with outside patio seating as it was a gorgeous day and I brought along my Maltese, Indian Bones. Seating is tight here, so they are only small dog friendly.

The Food Experience

The menu at Sarabeth’s is a delightful symphony of classic breakfast favorites and innovative twists. From savory egg dishes to sweet delights, there is something for everyone’s palate. We started off with mimosas, of which there were several options. I chose blood orange and it was refreshingly delicious. And, I was so happy that it did not give me a headache afterwards, so I know that the quality of sparkling wine they used was good.

We were both in the mood for savory, so while I love the lemon ricotta pancakes here, I opted for the special of blue crab Eggs Benedict. With its perfectly poached eggs and old bay seasoned hollandaise sauce on top of yummy crab, bacon and avocado, it was a truly delicious. Christine went with the Goldie Lox, which is one of their signature dishes. The scrambled eggs mixed with smoked salmon and cream cheese looked and tasted delicious.

We ordered a side of crispy bacon which we munched on and shared with Indiana Bones. He had no complaints about that!

It’s a taste of the island life that will have you dreaming of your next visit. Be sure to pair your meal with a refreshing mimosa or a rich, aromatic coffee to complete your breakfast experience. And, be ready to spend your money here. Our breakfast was around $100 plus tip. But, for the quality of food, and the wonderful and entertaining service, it was worth it.
