Key West Events | Watch the Sailboat Races

If you are into sailing or if you just think that sailboats are romantic, then you really need to come to Key West for the Quantum Key West Sailboat Races going on this January 20th to the 25th. This is an annual competition featuring world-class yachting teams from over twelve countries! Over 100 yachts will be competing in 2013.

If you love to watch but are more comfortable on land, then you can view the races from the Atlantic-front hotels, restaurants, and beaches. But if you want to get up close to see the races, you can do that too! Your first option is to book a private charter with a local charter company such as Dream Catcher Charters that will run customized trips. Another option is to get out on a boat like the Danger, which will be offering public viewing charters on January 24th and 25th from 11:00 to 4:30 pm for $75 plus tax per person.

To see what else is happening on the island during your visit, check out our Key West Events Calendar to see other upcoming special events. For more information about the fun side of Key West… things to do and see in our island city, go to our Key West Web Site.
