Finally, some good news for Keys kids! Every Saturday until school starts in August, Tropic Cinema will be showing a kids’ matinee at 10:30 am. But the really cool part is that the matinees will only cost $1.00 for kids (12 and under) and up to two of their guests. Adults unaccompanied by a child will have to pay a whopping $6 per matinee though.
The Kids Saturday Movie Club will be showing both classics and recent films; some will be live action, others cartoons, and others 3D. Movies schedules so far include Nanny McPhee, Little Rascals, Babe, and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.
Tropic Cinema is located at 416 Eaton Street. Doors open at 10:00 am Saturdays and movies start at 10:30 am.
