Believe it or not, Key West is actually one of the most popular destinations for party revelers to visit for New Year’s Eve. And with three big count downs to the new year, why wouldn’t it be? If you do plan on visiting the Southernmost City this holiday season, here is how you can expect to ring in the New Year.
- A conch shell drop at Sloppy Joe’s Bar, 201 Duval St.
- A descending 6-foot red high heel shoe carrying drag queen Sushi at the Bourbon Street Pub/New Orleans House complex, 724 Duval St.
- A pirate wench descending from a tall ship mast in the island city’s Historic Seaport.
Nine One Five is one of my most fav restaurants on the island and they are having two New Year’s Eve events! At their dining room they are offering an amazing $100 fix price menu.And at their Point5 Lounge upstairs, they are holding their annual New Year’s Eve Mad Men Party which is $125 per person, which will include premium open bar and hors d’oeuvres from 8:00pm until around 1:00am!
Another favorite is the Rooftop Cafe, and they will be offering a special menu for New Year’s Eve from 5:30 to 10:00 PM.
Michael’s is my top choice for an evening of fine dining in Key West. They are available for dining reservations on New Year’s Eve. Their regular menu will be available with some specials. Call 305-295-1300.
The Grand on Duval Street will be having three different seatings for New Year’s Eve dinner. The first seating will be from 5 to 7 pm with a 2-course dinner. The second seating will be from 7:15 to 9:15 pm with a 4-course dinner. ANd the third seating will take place from 9:30 pm until close, also with a 4-course dinner.
La Te Da on Duval Street will have live entertainment starting at 9:00 pm.
