They will be lowering a pirate wench, Evalena Worthington, co-owner of Schooner Wharf, against large illuminated countdown numbers – from 10, 9, 8… until the stroke of midnight where “2012” will light up to launch the new year. This bash was rated the 2nd most fun thing to do by AOL after being at Times Square! The day’s fun starts early with live music from Michael McCloud and Friends at noon, followed byThe Doerfels, a family of very talented kids who will entertain you with blue grass, rock n’ roll and other favorite classic tunes. Next up from 10:00 pm ‘til late is the bounding energy and funk of Biscuit Miller and the Mix. Bring your dancin’ shoes for a “pipin’ hot biscuit” full of soulful blues stew.
