Hook and Cook at Ocean’s Edge Restaurant the Yellowfin Bar

February 5, 2020 – Today I headed over to the docks at Oceanside Marina at Ocean’s Edge Resort to meet some clients after their deep sea fishing charter. They wanted a recommendation on where to bring their kingfish, dolphin (aka mahi mahi or dorado) and mutton snapper to get prepared for them to enjoy for lunch.

The crew of the InXS with their client about to enjoy their catch of snapper and dolphin.

There are a slew of places that will cook your catch in Key West. But it just so happens that the Yellowfin Bar at Ocean’s Edge does a bang up job. And since they were already there, they decided to give it a try. They also invited me, along with the crew of the INXS, Captains Steven and Willie, to join them.

Per usual, the kitchen did a great job. They grilled and blackened the fish and brought out platters of french fries and rice to enjoy with the fish. Robert was tending bar today, and he is always attentive and does a great job as does the rest of the wait staff here.

Since it was a work day, I did not get my favorite drink at the Yellowfin Bar, the Bellini; I stuck to water instead. It was the healthy choice! And at the end of the meal I treated myself to a delicious cappuccino at the coffee bar at the back of the restaurant. God that espresso machine is gorgeous!

As I mentioned above, there are so many places to eat on this island. Before you decide where to go, Be sure to read my Key West restaurant reviews; check out our restaurant review section of this blog.
